We are seeking a high school science teacher to join our team. Our small school serves about 170 students 7‑12th grade. We offer small class sizes and hands‑on instruction. Subjects: Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, possibly health. A.P. Teaching Experience Preferred. Science Certification Required. Multiple Certifications across disciplines Preferred. Experience Preferred. Experience with inquiry‑based learning preferred. Experience with outdoor and/or nature‑based learning preferred. Job Responsibilities Will be responsible for safely maintaining, storing, ordering, and keeping an inventory of chemicals used for instructional purposes and labs in the science department at S.A. Teach high school chemistry and related science courses, incorporating inquiry-based and outdoor learning where possible. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and materials aligned with curriculum standards. Job Requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Science Certification required; multiple certifications preferred. Experience teaching at the high school level and A.P. experience preferred.
