Quantitative Trader We are working with a high-performing High-Frequency Trading (HFT) team at a world-renowned fund to identify a talented Quantitative Researcher to join their group as they continue to scale off the back of sustained success. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a proven, revenue-generating team that is actively expanding its research capabilities. Key Responsibilities Conduct original research to develop and enhance high-frequency trading strategies across one or more asset classes (e.g., equities, futures, FX). Analyze large, high-dimensional datasets to identify predictive signals and market inefficiencies. Design, implement, and rigorously backtest quantitative models with a strong focus on robustness and scalability. Collaborate closely with traders and engineers to translate research ideas into production systems. Monitor live strategies, evaluate performance, and iterate to improve risk-adjusted returns. Contribute to the continued evolution of a successful research platform as the team scales. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative research or similar role within a trading, hedge fund, or proprietary firm. Strong academic background in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering. Proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, etc.); experience with C++ or similar languages is a plus. Solid understanding of statistics, time series analysis, and machine learning techniques. Experience working with high-frequency or tick-level data is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of research projects and deliver impactful results. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in HFT or ultra-low latency environments. Familiarity with market microstructure and electronic trading systems. Experience working with distributed systems or large-scale data processing frameworks. Track record of alpha generation or published research in a relevant domain.
