What You'll Do:

• Efficiently utilize electromagnetic (EM) locating equipment, GPS technology, maps, and field observations to locate underground pipelines and related facilities.
• Accurately mark the location of underground assets using paint, flags, stakes, and other approved methods.
• Read, interpret, and respond to One-Call (811) tickets, aligning with company procedures and regulatory standards.
• Review utility maps, blueprints, right-of-way documentation, and as-built drawings to identify asset locations.
• Conduct field inspections of excavation, construction, and maintenance activities near pipeline facilities.
• Provide safety oversight and guidance to contractors and third-party personnel working around pipelines and facilities.
• Monitor excavation activities to prevent pipeline strikes and ensure proper safety precautions are maintained.
• Complete detailed daily reports, safety checklists, compliance documentation, and locate records using mobile and computer systems.
• Maintain comprehensive records of locate requests, completed activities, and damage prevention efforts.
• Support emergency response efforts related to pipeline incidents and excavation emergencies.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Integrity Management, Environmental, Safety teams, and contractors to ensure safe and compliant operations.
• Perform routine inspections of pipeline rights-of-way, reporting potential safety or operational concerns.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and travel within the service area.
• Basic computer skills and experience with mobile devices or electronic reporting tools.
• Good map reading, drawing interpretation, and technical document skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and safety-minded mindset.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in utility locating, pipeline operations, oil and gas field work, construction, or damage prevention.
• Proficiency using electromagnetic (EM) locating equipment and GPS mapping tools.
• Knowledge of underground utility and pipeline systems.
• Familiarity with One-Call/811 requirements and excavation safety practices.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• At least 2 years of oilfield experience, ideally on the production side, with the ability to identify process equipment and line types.

Other Requirements:

• Reside in Odessa or Midland, Texas.
• Ability to operate in outdoor environments and adhere to safety protocols.
