Operations Support
Supports: Operations (Director & Assistant Director)
Supervisor: Director of Operations, Assistant Director of Operations
Classification: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Status: Permanent Position
Requirements: The ability to manage time efficiently; work well when supervisors are not present; work well with other staff members and maintain a good attitude; ability to lift at least and up to 75 pounds; handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial work; basic math skills; ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies; ability to use basic cleaning equipment; cleaning wood, tile and linoleum flooring; vacuuming and shampooing carpeting and rugs; disposing of trash; changing air filters and cleaning air vents; waxing floors; disinfecting surfaces, including desktops and shelves; keeping up with personal inventory as assigned; using heavy-duty equipment, such as floor buffers and commercial vacuums.
A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
Primary Responsibilities:
· General cleaning of the building, keeping it maintained and in good condition.
· Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
· Cleaning and stock restrooms.
· Ensure doors are locked after hours.
· Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
· Perform minor repairs.
· Notify supervisors of major repairs.
· Collect and dispose of trash.
· Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
· Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
· Willingness to work on and around the grounds, cleaning storm debris, i.e. tree limbs, trash, etc., as needed.
· Be adaptable to new responsibilities and tasks as they arise.
· Any other responsibilities assigned by the director supervisor, the Senior Pastor, or his designee.
Initial salary will be set by the Independent Presbyterian Church Staff Care Committee and raises will be based on an annual job performance review and marketplace conditions.
