Overview An entry-level Network Engineer helps design, maintain, troubleshoot, and support computer networks within an organization. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with foundational networking knowledge and certifications. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points Monitor network performance and ensure system availability Troubleshoot connectivity, LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and routing issues Assist senior engineers with network upgrades and infrastructure projects Configure and support network security policies and access control Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records Respond to help desk tickets and user networking issues Support cloud and hybrid networking environments when required Perform regular backups and disaster recovery checks Qualifications Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking Routing and switching VLANs, subnetting, and VPN DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewall concepts Familiarity with networking tools and monitoring software Knowledge of operating systems like Windows Server and Linux Strong troubleshooting and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
