Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certificate (Preferred)
- At least two years of recent experience in the field (Required)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients.
- Coordinate nursing care activities with other health care disciplines.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve patient care objectives.
- Identify and seek solutions for clinical problems and report them to the affected department.
- Set up exam rooms and check in patients.
- Obtain vital signs and report significant findings to the clinic physician.
- Perform venipunctures as ordered and conduct audiometry and vision testing.
- Assist the physician with office procedures, including preparing instruments and providing necessary supplies.
