Job Description

Shine on as an Instructional Coach

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is a premier provider of education services for K-12 students who require additional supports to overcome challenges that impede success in a traditional school setting. SESI partners with school districts to run in-district classrooms and standalone schools that meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of special and alternative education students. Partnering with over 600 school districts nationwide, SESI serves more than 7,000 students. Join our team members who shine a positive light on our students and uncover the unique learner within. Have a profound impact, grow, learn, and thrive as part of our team.

What you can expect from us:

  • Diverse career pathways, mobility up and across our national network, and ongoing professional and leadership development.
  • Paid training, tuition reimbursement, and credentialing support.
  • Data-driven, evidence-based learning and instructional models, including SESI's own positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS) framework called CASE.
  • An attractive and robust suite of benefits, including comprehensive healthcare benefits, 401(k) with employer match, employee assistance program, mental health support, fertility and family building, and more.
  • Smaller class sizes in diverse educational settings.

Advance student potential—and your own—as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support. Realize the joy of possibility as you monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide real-time feedback and support to Assistant Teachers (ATs) and 1:1 instructional staff.
  • Instructional Coverage and Continuity
    • Model effective instructional strategies in the classroom for teachers, with a particular focus on supporting LTS staff.
    • Serve as the lead teacher when a classroom vacancy exists, ensuring instructional plans are followed and student needs are met.
    • Assist in lesson planning and delivery aligned with individualized education program (IEP) goals and academic standards.
  • Assessment and Compliance Support
    • Support administration of all state and internal company assessments.
    • Assist with student performance data collection and analysis to inform instruction and IEP development.
    • Ensure ACI and SPC (formerly CASE) documentation and responsibilities are completed in collaboration with the School Director.
    • Monitor and promote instructional practices that align with compliance expectations under state guidelines and outplacement policies.
  • Leadership and Program Support
    • Support instructional leadership at up to three school sites.
    • Work onsite each day according to a Regional Director-approved schedule to provide consistent, hands-on support.
    • Collaborate with school teams and leadership to strengthen instructional programs and ensure regulatory and programmatic compliance.
  • Professional Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to support student achievement.
    • Participate in team meetings, instructional leadership meetings, and staff professional development.
    • Communicate regularly with the School Director regarding programmatic needs and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in special education required (valid teaching certification in lieu of an advanced degree).
  • Valid teaching certification required.
  • Demonstrated success in instructional coaching or staff mentoring roles.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws (e.g., IDEA, Section 504).
  • Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment practices, and compliance documentation.

Posted Salary Range: USD $45,000.00 - USD $55,000.00 /Yr.
