Role Overview
We are seeking 3 Embedded Engineers to join our team in a Part Time capacity at our DN2 location. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of experience who are eager to launch their careers in embedded systems development within the government contracting space. As a Fresher-level Embedded Engineer, you will work under close supervision and receive comprehensive training while assisting senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of embedded software and hardware solutions. Overtime is Allowed for this position, and compensation is provided on an Annual Salary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and testing of embedded software for microcontroller-based systems under the guidance of senior engineers

  • Support the integration of hardware and software components in embedded platforms

  • Learn and apply coding standards, version control practices, and documentation procedures for embedded systems projects

  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve software and hardware issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and contribute to design discussions

  • Maintain accurate records of development activities, test results, and configuration changes

  • Attend training sessions and technical reviews to build foundational knowledge in embedded systems architecture

  • Perform routine tasks such as code reviews, unit testing, and documentation updates as assigned

  • Support the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders

  • Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and government contracting compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Maximum of 1 year of professional experience in embedded systems, software development, or a related technical field

  • Basic understanding of embedded programming languages such as C, C++, or Python

  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures and development environments (e.g., ARM, AVR, or similar platforms)

  • Foundational knowledge of digital electronics, circuit design, and hardware-software integration concepts

  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow detailed technical instructions

  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to document technical work clearly

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • U.S. Citizenship may be required depending on contract specifications

Certifications / Licensure:

  • No specific certifications are required for this entry-level position; however, any relevant coursework or certifications in embedded systems, electronics, or software development are a plus

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant technical training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS) or embedded Linux environments through academic projects or internships

  • Hands-on experience with development tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or JTAG debuggers

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows

  • Participation in relevant academic projects, capstone courses, or internships involving embedded systems

  • Demonstrated interest in government contracting or defense-related technology applications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be available to work Part Time hours as scheduled at the DN2 office location

  • Willingness to work overtime as project demands require

  • Ability to pass a background check and comply with all government contracting security and compliance protocols

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection standards

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and technical requirements
