Summit County Public Health seeks a reliable, compassionate Dental Hygienist (Full-Time or Part-Time) to join our dedicated dental clinic team located at 1867 West Market Street, Akron, OH. This role offers flexible hours (21-35 per week) with a focus on delivering comprehensive dental hygiene services and education to our diverse patient population. Dental hygienist
Job Description Provide dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, radiographs, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
Educate patients and caregivers on oral health, prevention, and post-treatment care.
Ensure patient comfort and maintain a safe, clean clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Accurately document patient care and maintain up-to-date clinical records.
Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and other public health professionals.
Participate actively in community outreach and public health initiatives as assigned.
full-time $28 - $41 per hour

Current State Dental Hygienist License (required)
Radiography Certification (required)
Minimum of 1 year of dental hygiene experience preferred
Strong passion for public health and community service
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, infection control, and patient education
Experience working in a public health or community clinic setting
Bilingual abilities or experience serving diverse populations
