About the Position


IMCO General Construction is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes and/or Telescopic Swing Cab Cranes on heavy civil and water treatment plant projects. We are looking for a safety-focused professional who is an effective communicator and willing to work in the field as part of a collaborative team environment.

This position is primarily responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads safely and efficiently. The Crane Operator directly controls crane functions and must possess excellent manual dexterity and the ability to regulate crane and hoist movements according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.

In addition to crane operation, candidates must be willing and able to operate other equipment, including forklifts and loaders, as project needs require. This individual must adhere to company values, safety standards, and work effectively within a team-oriented culture.

Compensation and Benefits


Starting pay: $50-$55 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Operate Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes and/or Telescopic Swing Cab Cranes safely and efficiently
  • Understand and respond to all applicable hand signals
  • Perform proper rigging practices with safety as the highest priority
  • Read and interpret load charts and lift plans
  • Operate additional equipment such as forklifts and loaders as needed
  • Follow all company, state, and site-specific safety requirements
  • Promote effective protection of people, equipment, and property
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, signal persons, riggers, and other team members

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $45-50 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance available the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 401(k) available to eligible employees the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • IMCO provides a 100% company match on employee contributions up to 4% of eligible wages.
  • RV site with hookups may be provided at IMCO's expense for employees bringing their own RV or trailer.
Location & Work Schedule
  • Project Location: Oxbow, Oregon.
  • 8-10-hour shifts.
  • Overtime may be available based on project needs.
  • Evening and weekend work may be necessary to meet project schedules and milestones.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of civil construction experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating a Lattice Boom Crawler Crane and/or Telescopic Swing Cab Crane
  • Current NCCCO Lattice Boom Crawler (LBC) certification and/or NCCCO Telescopic Swing Cab (TLL) certification, with the ability to maintain certification
  • Current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge and understanding of reading plans and drawings
  • Basic math skills to assist ground personnel with cuts, fills, and elevations
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Strong understanding of rigging, load charts, and safe lifting practices
  • Experience working on heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, and/or water/wastewater treatment projects preferred
  • Safety-Sensitive Position:
    This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment. Employees are also subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment in accordance with the company's zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy.
