Job Description

Aircraft Mechanic

Join a dynamic team in a mobile aviation service company specializing in general aviation maintenance. Your role will involve performing A checks, line maintenance, and servicing aircraft. You will also be responsible for routine maintenance and airworthiness releases, ensuring aircraft are safe and ready for service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform A checks, line maintenance, and aircraft servicing.
  • Conduct on-call and scheduled line maintenance for various customers' aircraft.
  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases within the scope of approval.
  • Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and associated components.
  • Meet deadlines and performance goals effectively.

Essential Skills

  • A&P License
  • Experience with Boeing 767 and wide-body aircraft.
  • 18+ months of recent line maintenance experience.
  • Emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Basic tools are required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Any commercial experience, including regional jets.
  • Any military experience, including helicopters.
  • FAA Powerplant License preferred.

Work Environment

Work a split shift at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport in downtown Phoenix. The role involves outdoor work, not in a hangar. Hours are Monday 12am – 4am & Tues-Fri 7am-11am, with an alternative schedule of Monday – Friday 6:30-10:30am. Basic tools are required, with plans to move to a new hangar with additional space.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
